We all live an oh-so busy lives these days, right? I’m always asking myself if we are just exaggerate this all or it’s just the truth. I think I’ve struggled with busy times a few times and luckily I learned some lessons out of it. Because I’m hearing around me that more of you are struggling with being busy and feeling lost I thought sharing a few tips with you all! Please let me know if it was helpfull and of course your own tips & tricks too!
About the image. This was shot during my holiday in La Palma and actually I was quite scared of posting it. Being super concious of my body and not having size 0 (or even 2 or 4) I didn’t know what to do with the image. But hey, sometimes you need to go out of your comfort zone and try new things. Note: and yes, it feels good. I guess the ‘online picture perfect world’ sometimes f*cks up your mind and you’re starting to get a bit insecure. I’m so happy posting this picture in the end ❤
5 WAYS – LESS BUSY IN A BUSY WORLD
Find your priorities
Through the years I learned to focus more on my own energy and pay attention to give it to the right persons and activities. When you’re super busy it’s sometimes hard to see the difference between things that you must do and things that aren’t that important and you’re probably doing for someone else. To him/her happy, because society asks us to do it or your need to be social with friends and family. In this case I’m mostly follow my own instinct and choose carefully how to divide my energy and attention.
Sleep, sleep and more sleep
We tend to forget to sleep enough during busy times and in the end you get the chance to suffer from sleep deprivation. How busy you are, try to have a good sleep between 6 to 8 hours (this depends on your own needs). Prevent to use your laptop or phone in the evening and read a book, meet with friends or have night walk. All these activities (including a nice hot shower) are the best way to cath some sleep quickly and get enough hours of sleep. I still need to learn this…oops!
Breakfast time
It’s not strange that one says having breakfast is like putting some fresh oil and gas in your car and it will give you enough energy to get through the day. With the right mix of vitamins and nutrients it gives your body the strength and focus to give big boost. And after breakfast it’s important to eat at least 3-5 more meals (healthy snacks and full meals) to get that engine – your body- going.
Schedule ME moments
We all don’t mind scheduling in things for work or others – but often we forget ourselves and it gets to much in the end. Just like with work and other appointments you need to make an agreement with yourself and give yourself some ME-time to do only the things you like to do. Like taking an extra long shower, do your nails, put on a facial mask or just having a nice walk in the park. Just do the things you always wanted to do and I know it will free your mind.
Working out is the key!
When it’s fitness, running, crossfit or yoga – doing something active makes your mind be more free and you’ll forget your oh-so busy life. I can remember some moments I had so much on my mind that I was in a negative vibe and working out cleared up that dark sky. During my work-out I only focused on my body and mind and totally forgot the work-related things.
