I’m wearing Van Haren dandy shoes / Asos leather jacket (old) / NewLook trousers / Missguided rock tee
The dandy style goes way back – somewhere in the 18th century I think – where men loved to pay more attention to their apprearance. Nowadays this all has changed but still you can see some dandy influences in todays fashion style. As a true tomboy this dandy style all written on me and I couldn’t wait to start styling these dark bordeaux dandy shoes (via Van Haren) and inspire others how to style this trend. I like to act a bit as a chameleon and integrate several styles together. A classy black dress? I like to go with for sneakers! Baggy trousers? I like to go for a heels for even more contrast. But let’s go back to these dandy babies.
Creating a look
The creation of this looks is quite an interesting story and I thought it would be fun to share this with you guys. First, I wanted to style an all dandy look with a all grey suit with a crispy white shirt and maybe even a tie to make it all complete. But while dressing up I knew this wasn’t the look I was aiming for and first I ditched the white shirt and switch it for a cool black rock tee. Still, I knew I was something missing and last-minute I went for my ultimate favorite black leather jacket. Just put on some sunglasses and I’m ready to go
More shoe trendsTogether with some fellow other bloggers I’m sharing my view on several shoes trends and you can check them now all out at Van Haren trendpage. Besides the dandy look I also got challenged to create an all black and white look with some cool kicks (which you already could see on instagram). Love to see how Van Haren has so many different styles to shop for always a reasonable price. Besides my own styles I’m personally always a big fan of white kicks (hello!) and I’m thinking about some a pair of chelsea boots for this fall.
This post is created in collaboration with Van Haren shoes, but all my opinions are my own.
