Earlier this month I was invited to come visit the 6th edition of Fashionclash Festival in Maastricht – which was for me the very first time. I was quite excited to get inspired by great new collection of established but also young and just graduated designers.
Maastricht is trying to become more the fashion capital of The Netherlands and getting this Festival to a higher level. Located in old factory with a design market on the side made this something worth visiting every year.
When I concentrate on the shows on the two days I visited during Fashionclash I saw a lot of pure creativity with a lots of experiment and full of passion. Of course I was there too to show my support for my personal favorite: Joelle Boers – who’s really on of the designers with a lot potential. I truly love the printed coat with the big hoodie that would be the perfect cover up for this fall. When I take a look at the mens collection I must say I it was positively surprised by the great wearable collection – great work of lengths and material. So overall I really can recommend to make trip to the south of the Netherlands next year to visit Fashionclash + enjoy a (shopping) weekend in beautiful Maastricht!
