Oh, I guess time flies when you’re having fun…or working your ass off at the gym. As you could here I’m working on a new lifestyle change and this is all is in collaboration with Personal Body Plan. A well designed online plan with a personal trainer, nutritionist and lifestyle coach at your service 24/7. After struggling with injuries and my health this was just the right option to get back on track and getting some support to maintain this change on the long-term.
When I’m writing this I’m into this plan for around 3-4 weeks now and I super excited to share how these days were and sharing with you a few tips here and there. What did I learned? What were my struggles and what am I working for? And not to forget, why this plan can be something for you? Let me start with the working out part of this plan. Before my severe knee injury I worked out around two times a week and I was quite enjoying it. Since the last 3 weeks this went up to 4-6 times a week. Say what? Four times a week I work on mostly weight training, two times a week I work on asset recovery – which means a more relaxed work-out like cardio, swimming, cycling or walking. Oh, and not forget 1 day of rest! First, I was quite shocked but instantly I loved my plan and even my boyfriend joined my gym days. So sweet!
I think the biggest change I had to make was in my nutrition. I knew how to eat healthy but I just didn’t. Tempted by bad food all around me or just by my emotions. When I’m happy I like to celebrate it with food and when I’m sad I like to do the same. This never happened in extreme form but it’s really something I had to focus on. Right now I’m tracking my food and macro’s and this is really something that helps me to stay true to my food plan. Actually I’m not really eating differently but I just stay within the guidelines that were created for me. I still eat my chocolate, bread or homemade pizza (so yummy!). This all resulted into losing already a few kilo’s (probably mostly fluid) within a few weeks! Score!
I’m so excited to see what to following weeks and months has to bring and where I’ll be on this plan. My next goal? Creating the better version of myself at the end of summer for my Caribbean holiday! Of course I’ll focus on the physical part of this change, but the mental is just as important as getting fit.
