The sweater dress. The knit dress. The midi jumper. All different names, but all the same. I’ve been looking for this type for garment for a while and I still haven’t found the perfect one. So this the right moment to blog about it and share this with you guys and maybe you can help me with it…
The sale hasn’t made it search easy for me because all the nice dresses are totally sold out or only have the small and bigger sizes left over – such a bummer! But why do I want a sweater dress in the first place? For me it’s the perfect piece for the winter, it’s super comfortable and I can style it this season with some ankle boots or casual trainers. Of course, I’ve seen some nice styles coming by but they were all to expensive, not my style, my size or color. That’s why I made a list for myself with points to makes this search a bit easier (and maybe it can be helpful for you too)…
1. It has to be not to short and not to long / I’ve seen nice ones but they were all above the knee or somewhere around the ankle. I’m going for a dress that’s somewhere in between – the weird calf length – because that works the best for my body type.
2. Not to fitted and not to loose / I’m not going for a super fitted bodycon style dress because that not my style, but to loose doesn’t do something for my figure too. Yes, again I’m going for something in between.
3. And the color? / As you could guess I’m going for something black or grey. But a nice burgundy or dark green would be great too.
4. And what more? / I prefer to go for a turtleneck style because it makes the dress something I want to snuggle up in – plus it’s so much warmer. Besides this I’m also aiming for a straight fit – so no a-line or cocoon style.
