Recently I had the great opportunity (thanks to Bloggernet) to spend a night in a CitizenM Hotel (Schiphol Airport) because I had several meetings in Amsterdam. Walking into this hotel made me immediately excited about their interesting interior. At first I saw several Eames chairs in the corner of my eye when I entered the lobby – Oh, I would love to own one of them one day! Of course, I also was impressed by that big and black bookcase filled with the coolest accessories and books which I wouldn’t mind to teleport it directly to my home. The rooms in this hotel aren’t that big but the layout of them is quite unique – two round tubes in de middle of the room with a shower and toilet – and a crispy white bed that filled almost the entire room (see here). So I wouldn’t recommend to book these rooms when you’re sharing it with a business partner (can you imagine that awkward scene) but with your loved one it’s the perfect cosy room.
The best thing: they serve 24/7 food including SUSHI – as you could see on instagram I just had to order this dish in the middle of the night. When I planning trips to London or New York (hopefully soon) in the future I’m really going to keep this hotel in mind.
